Good news for 2008 Smart Fortwo owners, the Smart car finally passes our U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) crash tests. NHTSA says the Smart's front crash-test scores can't be compared with any other vehicle on the market. The Smart car got five out of five stars for protecting occupants during side crashes, four stars for sheltering drivers and three stars for passengers during head-on crashes.

The 2008 Smart Car has been transformed and revolutionized on several fronts.
