Americans want a clever vehicle, specifically the new Smart Fortwo. The company bring the 2008 Smart Fortwo is smart USA. It is not subsidiary of the Mercedes or DaimlerChrysler. They are a division of United Auto Group. Penske Auto Group will bring the cars to the states not Daimler Chrysler. The manufacturer of the Smart Fortwo is smart GmbH.

Daimler reports demand to exceed its ability to make them fast enough. The reservations process was limited to private buyers, no dealers or company sales and the $99 reservation fee is not transferable, but is refundable.
