UPS begins utilizing no emission vehicles. United Parcel Service has leased 42 plug-in Zap Xebras electric cars and trucks made by Shandong Jindalu Vehicle Co of China for Zap of Santa Rosa, Ca. They are used to deliver smaller parcels throughout the Santa Rosa area during this busy holiday season.

The new i City Car by Mitsubishi has been a huge success since its launch in England, in July of this year. The car looks a lot like the Smart Car and further news is Mitsubishi is eyeing a 2010 launch for an all-electric lithium-ion version of the i called the i MIEV. Based on the Mitsubishi i's the Mitsubishi i-EV replaces the cars conventional 660cc engine and fuel tank with a lithium-ion battery system, motor, inverter and other EV components.
