The non-perishable food items and $$ (if any donations are made) would go... I contacted Walter at SCI about doing a Holiday Food Drive for Christmas. The non-perishable food items and $$ (if any donations are made) would go directly to Gleaners Food Bank to help those less fortunate.

Walter responded that I guess SCI did this last season and that it was 'being discussed' for this year. I searched SCOA/Indiana Chapter and didn't see it posted, so I thought I would get a head start on THIS year.

Just something to keep in mind for the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. If I or anyone else, hear from Walter regarding this, please post it here for all of us SCOA'ers to see.

Had these parts for some time, but just never found the time to do them. :o

With bad weather just around the corner, this weekend sounds like the perfect time to get some of them accomplished. That would be right after bagging up the final pile of leaves in the front yard, rake and bag the leaves from the back garden, mow the yard, clean out the remainder of the gutters....you know, little things like THAT!

Even so, I think I can work in a couple of my mods. I'll post pics as soon as they're finished. One is really going to look :cool: AND be functional as well. What about a get together to support toys for tots? I have the contact info for the local representantive. Columbia City has a really neat Christmas lights display at the local park, admission could be a new, unwrapped toy. Maybe we could get together before hand for dinner? How about staging 2 or 3 in different parts of the state, that way Smarties of Indiana could donate in several different areas? I would be willing to set one up locally here. Anyone want to volunteer down near Indy or elsewhere? I'm thinking, Dec 12th for a date.
