$2800.00 Smart Wheels for sale for $600.00

Price lowered to $600.00 and Free Shipping USA Stock Set of wheels from 2008 smart 42. Wheels have been Powder Coated with Gloss Black Spokes with Gloss Blue Metallic on the rims. Wheels have 1000 miles on them and are in PERFECT CONDITION. TPM's are not included but new ones are available at Tire Rack for $78.00, or you may use the ones that came on your stock rims. The blue metallic is the exact color of the smart blue metallic.

The dealer Quoted $328 each for stock rims and charged me $1500.00 to powdercoat the 4 wheels. I will sell all four for $600.00. I am in Phoenix and I can ship UPS for $13.00 each. Pictures of the wheels are posted on the "2 inch trailer hitch" post in the modification forum. I can be reached at alantravis@cox.net or my cell phone is 602 758 2064.

Thanks,...Alan Travis

wow, $1500 to powder coat? thats insane. thats a dealer i suppose. i would think more like $50 per wheel outside of a dealer.

$50 is a tad low... in my area a pro shop will charge about $150 pre rim... there is a LOT of prep to do this and make it last... but you are correct the Dallas dealer is making a tidy profit per wheel...wink

"Wheel Wizard, Inc." in Richmond, VA re-finished a set of four Minilites for me for $600 the set: removed tires, dressed the outer alloy, smoothed the inner bead surfaces, powder-coated, clear-coated, re-mounted the tires.

Job done.

Wow, at last, something that we get cheaper in the UK.
I have had all of my wheels powder coated on all of my cars.
It always costs Ł120 for a set of four 16" alloys. (about $240).

There is very little prep work if you PC new wheels, just acid bath to remove the laquer and paint. Spray with powder and bake.

$1500 sounds a bit excessive for powder coating. Sounds like the dealer "coated" his own pocket with much of that money. Good luck with the sale.

I get mine powdercoated for free if I do the prep work. Nice to have friends in the business.

I had no choice as to the price of powder coating the wheels. This was what the dealer had added to the price for my "orphan" They are nicely done , Although, not my style. They also added Tinting and LoJack for a total of $3000.00 over sticker. I can not post pictures yet but I can E-mail if I am PM-ed. The last picture under "2 inch hitch installation" shows about half of one wheel and the post on Powder coating wheels from a Dallas dealer is exactly who and how mine are done. Gloss Black spokes and Blue metallic rims.

Thanks,....Alan Travis
