NOTE NOTE NOTE

when you disassemble the key fob, REMEMBER the EXACT orientation of the PC board inside.
When I took mine apart to replace the buttons, it took me several tries to get it back right.

You probably should also replace the battery in the key (both keys actually)?

You should probably also confirm before ordering whether this specific part is for a coupe or cabrio. While 3 of the buttons are the same, the fourth button on the coupe key opens the rear glass while the cabrio's retracts the top. Because of this, they have different icons indicating their functionality.

The rubber button bits are the same for coupe/cabrio. Icons are identical.

It's the PC board that's different.

I just found a photo of one, and you're right. My apologies.

When I last had a service loaner coupe from the dealer, I recalled the key icon being different, but it must have just been excessively worn.

Bad experience with Smart Madness.

I also sent them an email inquiring about my order, but haven't got a reply. Did I make a mistake ordering from this company? They don't seem to care too much about their customers.

Did you make a mistake? NO, SM is one of the best vendors I have ever dealt with.

"They don't seem to care too much about their customers." You might have caught them on an "off" day? SM has the best customer service anywhere.

Give them another call. But knowing SM the stuff you ordered is probably already in the mail?

Called again today. The spark plugs I ordered with the rubber buttons were out of stock, but they never indicated that on their website nor try to contact me to let me know about it, even though their website policy clear states customers will be notified of any backorders. I asked them to please ship the buttons first and the guys said he would have to get approval and email me whether or not they would ship first. No email yet. They also gave me some BS about 72 hours to process orders, which is not written anywhere on their website. Still not a very good experience so far.
