Hi has anyone carried the new panels in their shipping box in their smart? I suspect it means laying the passenger seat down and having the hatch open with the box extending out. i'm just wondering if anyone has done this. I'll be picking up a set in 12 days. thanks,
I have had a front fender and a hood in mine at one time and it is very cumbersome and awkward. The seat had to be folded down and the cargo cover had to be moved down but they fit. I have a set of door panels in my Lincolns back seat and they pretty much take up the whole thing. Plan on using two cars or borrow a friend and their truck.

When I picked up my panel set the box took up ALL of a Ford truck's bed. We had to remove them to fit them in the Accord that I mentioned above. The box will fit in the bed of a truck, but a car. Never....at least in one piece.
FASTTURB, Anything can be shipped! Question is, what condition do you expect it to be when you get it? Hell, I offered to meet you in Columbus Ohio for $200 + $475 for 2 week old Blue panels and you turned me down!
You should probably spend the $1000.I think it's a better deal!!
I have a complete set of NEVER USED yellow panels for a 2008 Smart. My Cabriolet was yellow when I bought it from the dealer and I had it changed to Silver prior to delivery.
These panels are located in Newburyport, MA (Just 45 minutes north of Boston).
Price: $500.00 and you come get them! I'm not interested in exploring shipping options, and unfortunately, I don't have a car that is suitable for delivering them to you. I have moved them a couple of times and they fit easily in an SUV. They are wrapped in bubble wrap, easily inspected and ready to go.
Please call me if interested. I do not check this email often.

That's a wikkid pissah price ya got on them panels, Trey! Shouldn't last long at $500...
I havent heard back from Driven in a while regarding the yellow panels of hers I was considering. I suspect given the local interest, she may have gone that route. I certainly cant say as I blame her, shipping panels turned out to be a bit of a pain.
On that note, Greyhound did indeed turn out to be a possible option. The 4 boxes of the panels sound like they were each *close* to the max size they'd accept. Assuming accurate measurements, it was only $40 some odd per box to ship from Indiana to Oregon. So for anyone thinking of shipping a set, Greyhound may be a good way to go.
Wikkid, if for some reason those dont dissapear instantly, and you do decide you'd want to try to ship them, I'm still in the market. ;)
