talk to your dealer or look in your local yellow pages or whatever for Clear Bra installers. it's a thick clear plastic laminate from 3M that is applied to the surface, will protect against bugs, rocks paint chips, etc.
the black vinyl bras i really would not recommend. they buffet in the wind while driving and will abrade your paint finish... plus the vehicle will have the paint fade at two different rates so eventually it'll look like two different colors on the vehicle.
lastly, you really don't need much of anything - there are polish products out there that make bug removal pretty simple, and, if damage should occur to the panels, they are pretty easily and inexpensively replaced - something you can't do with a regular sheetmetal car.
