Just stopped by the Beverly Hills Smart to inquire about my car that has a delivery window of 12/31-3/31/09. They checked their list and said there is a shipment coming in 1/25 and mine is on it. The Manager, Vinnie was sooo nice, really a great guy. If any one is taking delivery from Smart Beverly Hills, be sure to speak with Vinnie with any questions.

I agree. I've been working with him for 6 mos and just got an orphan cabrio (color and package I wanted). He is, without a doubt, the very best.

Good luck w/ yours when you get it. What did you order?

Hi, well I ordered red/black cabrio that still has not come it. It has been a long wait, since Nov, 2007. I sure hope it comes in soon. Enjoy yours, what color did you get? Hope to see you around, what part of town are you in?

Hi,

I got a black/ black cabrio. But I'm going to get the panel that comes down just below the top of the car and swerves around to the left (on the driver's side) and to the right on the passenger's side, wrapped in red vinyl. Vinnie suggested I wrap it instead of painting it as not everyone might like the red when it comes time to sell or trade it.

I live in the Miracle Mile near Wilshire/ Fairfax and work at UCLA. I hope to see you around too.

BTW, you might ask Vinnie to put you on the orphan's list as well. That's what I did and got a car much sooner that way. My cabrio was ordered on July 12 and I configured on Dec. 23. My DDE date changed from Oct. - Dec., then to June - Sept., then to Jan. - Mar.

Sound interesting, you will have to post pictures. Where are you doing the customizing? I live in Playa Del Rey, and work at Wilshire & Bundy so may see you running around town. I hope to talk to Vinnie soon. I don't know what the delay is since the cars were supposed to come into port on 1/25. Oh well.

I wouldn't wait to hear from Vinnie -- Just call him. I think he's on vacation this week but probably back next week. Call him or email him. There could be a possible delay in getting them from the port.

I'm going to have the work done through Vinnie. He has a place that he uses. Not expensive either -- I think it'll cost me $300 for it.

After a year and a half, finally got the Smart. Well worth it, really enjoying driving around town and modding it out. See ya around town!

CONGRATULATIONS!! Hope to see you around town too. I'm having the wrapping done tomorrow -- wheels following month - and interior in April. The smart is so very cooooool.

What color is yours so I can keep an eye out for you?

Its red with black. I had the windows tinted and ordered car seats from Smart Madness that I am waiting on. Want to get the interior trim painted later too. Will you be at the BH March 21st event? If so we can meet there!

What kind of car seats did you order? Thinking about getting my windows tinted too. Who did the windows? How did you hear about the BH Mar. 21 event? Haven't heard anything. Let me know.
