Hi All!

It's Rach... before I forget, Robert, call me at the shop M-F 562-961-6800 and I'll give you some recommendations based on your budget. I'll try to post them here sooner rather than later for all, just in case. So without further ado, please see below

OK, thought I would chime in to let friends know we haven't forgotten you Keeping with our original vision, we wanted to let you know that our agenda is for a complete and fun filled day.

As we get closer, more details and specific info will follow, but for now our day is looking like this:

Registration along with coffee and donuts. Mmm, donuuuuts (said in a Homer voice .
Car competition, with trophies and prizes.
BBQ with live band/ entertainment/ The Sound (local radio station is coming out too!)
Then it will be time to let the games begin!
This time we'll fully dominate the Traffic Circle (aka 1 of SoCal's largest round about) with our smarts to play a game of Poker Rally (rumour has it, this will be captured on video!).
We'll circle back to the shop to see who has the best hand to win the game and to close out our day.

Also, based on interest, there may be a Sunday morning run as the shop as the starting point.

Items to bring:
Foldable chair per guest
SPF
Bottled water for the day
A pen or pencil, preferably a pen
Light jacket/ sweater
Camera and a funtastic attitude!

Hope you don't mind, I will be asking for volunteers to help out with short stints, if willing with the following:
Registration Tables
Parking assistants
BBQ (bbq'ing, cake distribution, etc.)

Remember, our registers will be closed on the day of, but if you would like to do a prepaid will call, especially for those traveling afar ;-) please let us know in advance as we'll help you out.

I know speaking with some of you on the phone that are out of state, I've encouraged you to come out, that invite still stands! Stay tuned for more to come as we get closer!

We simply wanted to let you know that we are ready to rock and roll for this Saturday If you haven't registered through meetup to attend and you are, please do so now. Though I have my check off list of things to do still, I know it will all come together for when you arrive. Those who have so kindly volunteered to help, I cannot thank you enough. I will contact you within the next few days via meetup or SCOA to let you know. For those that I have seen or spoken to, yes I would love your help at the BBQ and Registration tables THANK YOU SO MUCH!

We still need to recruit a volunteer who is able to video our smarts going around the round about. If you've got that talent come on down!

We will be selling extra raffle tickets. All raffle, extra ticket money will be donated to meetup.com/socalsmarties so we can keep this site alive. Also, don't forget, the registers will be closed. This is it! The last mail from me regarding tomorrow. Couple of key things to go over before you can come out and play.

Volunteers:
You wonderful, fantastic, we're forever grateful to you, fabulous human beings! If you can arrive at 9am, I'll be asking for your help with specific duties. Again, this is about you, so don't worry, I'm asking for short and sweet help. Look for me and I will brief all at the same time. I promise you, short and sweet, except those that love to grill Sizzzzzzzzzzzzzle.

Parking:
Rears in, nose out, no parallel parking please When you pull into 19th, look for the parking volunteers to guide you to where and how.

Items to NOT FORGET:
Foldable chair per guest
A full tank or close to it.
A hat and SPF, it's going to be sunny!
Bottled water/ drink for throughout the day
A pen or pencil, preferably a pen
Light jacket/ sweater
Camera and or video camera
Radio, walkie/ talkie

Poker Rally
The poker rally is going to be around 56 miles with great scenic stops with a fun route. We're going to be taking off no later than 2pm and should be back at the shop approx by 6 for prizes.

We're scrambling but are so excited to see all of you tomorrow!
