Any Other Place than Cherry Hill Mercedes?

Hey All!

I live in Philly and am just done with dealing with getting my car serviced by the douchebags at Mercedes Benz Cherry Hill.

Although I'm sure there are many people who haven't had problems with their service, I've had nothing but.

I no longer feel like throwing my hard earned money away at that place.

My car is out of warranty, and I'm curious to know if anyone knows of any places other than MBCH that service smart cars.

There is a smart center in Trevose, PA. (at least for now) BTW, Mine is at Cherry Hill and I just got another 2 week push on the date!

I have my Smart car services at Ray Catena Service Center. It is in Edison NJ so it might be too far for you. It is a great service center. It services all the cars Ray Catena sells. Smart Center Edison. IMO; their service center sets the 'gold standard' for service centers but the distance might not be worth the trip.

While I would not buy a rollerskate from CHMB's sales department (after the experience when my smart was delivered there in 2008) I have found their service department (especially Service Writer TOM G) to be very good.

As is obvious, they are primarily a Mercedes dealer (no smarts on the showroom floor - no literature, etc) and they charge Mercedes rates. I had used them for a number of years prior for work on various Mercedes both in warranty and out. All work, including some diagnostics on the smart was done well and quickly. You do have to ask for what you want and know what is not really necessary.

I will admit, for some major out-of-warranty work on a Mercedes lately I went to an independent and saved about 40% because it was basic, but major work (final cost over $2k). Snyderman's Gulf at 2nd and Vine (560 N. 2nd) was who I used.

Great News - apparently Cherry Hill doesn't want my business. They have a 'can't be bothered with smarts' attitude. Won't even return my calls. I'd be happy to let you earn my business.

smart Center Trevose closed down, so that is not an alternative. Supposedly, all the MB dealers will eventually be able to service smart cars. We'll see if that does happen.

I've only been to Cherry Hill once for service and they treated me well and everything went smoothly. I did see their smart showroom...it is upstairs. Not a lot going on up there but at least it is there.

Good to know! Do you guys install after-market stuff on the smarts? I was not able to get the inside LED lighting from the factory and bought an after market LED kit that I need installed.
