South Central Smarts?

Anyone from the Lancaster, York, Harrisburg, Gettysburg, northern Maryland radius want to get together maybe once a month for breakfast? I used to do monthly breakfast runs with motorcycles and thought it would translate well to smarts. Maybe the third or fourth sunday of the month. Pick a different restaurant in a different area each time.

Open to suggestions for the 16th or 23rd.

The guys I work with tell me that they have only seen three Smarts in York.

Would I mind? Hell, I'd just like to see another smart! I hear there are a few around York but have only seen one that had ads for an insurance agent on it.

If its just the two of us, maybe meet up around MD Line somewhere? There must be restaurants in Shrewsbury. Not real familiar with that area anymore

There was a dealer in Highspire selling a low mileage '08 Smart recently, and I have seen a few in the Harrisburg-Hershey-Lebanon area. Our ETA is 2010, may not live that long. We see them once in a while when we are out riding but don't know anyone personally that owns one.

If you dont want to wait that long, SmartCenter Edison in NJ has car available at MSRP with no add-ons. Thats where I bought mine. My reserve car isnt due until Nov09-Jan 2010. I couldnt wait that long! Call 732.549.6601 and ask for Paul Sanger. He was a great guy to work with, made the deal over the phone.

Thanks, I sent an email to request information on the orphan at SmartCenter Edison in NJ. We are looking for a basic model, needs only A/C and automatic shift- most we have bumped into are far more than the basic model, and we will wait if it requires us to do so.

I travel up to Carlisle at least once a month, and I'd love to be kept informed of any meet ups that happen around MD/PA!

We picked up our new 09 Cabrio today at Germantown, MD, (WOO HOO!)and saw several orphans on their lot. There was another couple there that had just stopped by and was considering buying one of them. We are now a 2 smart family in Hanover, PA, having purchased a white/black passion orphan last April.

Also, check out the Mid Atlantic forum. It seems they are planning a trip up to Gettysburg sometime in January.

Cool. Congrats on the new smart. I've heard there is a few in Hanover. Was germantown your assigned dealer? I'm in Dover so Germantown, Annapolis and Devon are all within 10 miles difference from me. Germantown was a nice dealership and my favorite restaurant, Baja Fresh, is right behind it! Will definately look at the Gettysburg meet-up

I think originally we were assigned Annapolis, but when we configured they gave us a choice of three dealerships. We chose Germantown since it was closer and easier to get to from our location.

We haven't seen any other smarts in Hanover, but we have seen 3 or 4 different ones in nearby Westminster, MD. Sightings are definitely becoming more commonplace.
