Looks too "mechanical" for me. All the holes make it look like something from an Erector set. Just doesn't seem to fit in with anything else on the car.

I surprised that you said that! It will match your doorhandles holes perfectly. By the way, I am planning to do that mod too. I just need to find time to go to Vero.

The Smart have "contemporary" design and I think that armrest is fits in the design style of the car better then any other armrest on the market today. That is just my opinion....

By the way, this armrest is LONGER then other ones, so you can COMFORTABLY rest your elbow on the armrest and have BOTH your hand on the steering wheel.

I got mine several weeks ago. Matt made up one to match the beige Smart interior. It was an easy 3 minute install. It supports my weight when I shift myself to get comfortable. Very well made, trust Matt to make the BEST,design and construction wise. Remember, you get what you pay for. His exhaust systems are Awesome, too!! Lighter than the stock system and gives more HP,better gas economy and a very throaty mellow sound. Quality is KING, Thanks, Matt. Cheerz, SmartChip

I've had mine for some time and agree it's a high quality armrest. I've seen and tried other armrests at the Devon Smartcenter and find the Geniusparts the most comfortable.

The holes are not only "cool" but serve to reduce unwanted weight a great example of good engineering. It's easy to leave the excess material on the part and cut costs but that's not good engineering. These guys do it right!

Yesterday I installed my new Boesch built armrest and it is fantastic. Great quality, great fit.

Is it wide enough for your passenger too?

If so then it's the one I'm getting with Lil' Lucky.
