Original Cold Air Intake V2 - Great Performance, Great Price

Buy directly from SmartCar Performance and save !! As promised, every item has FREE Shipping.

Now your engine will be receiving true “cold air”. We have run countless tests on this system. This system runs 10-15 degrees cooler than our original version. Also, the airflow is unrestricted with an even shorter pipe. We have seen the air temp jump down 5-7 degrees on a quick ¼ mile burst. Installation is quicker and easier with true performance guaranteed in any weather, rain or shine. With the pipe being shorter and closer to the engine bay, the car has an even quicker response with a throatier, stealthier sound. Now, we have made the system even better by replacing our filter with an aFe filter. This filter has a larger surface area and draws in more air into the engine. With an incredible system and now a new reduced price. You can’t go wrong.

Quicker Response from start
Increased Performance from both low and high RPM’s
Increased Gas Mileage
High Quality polished Stainless Steel Pipe.
Each pipe is Mandrel Bent to Guarantee Maximum Air Flow.
1 Year Warranty on Workmanship
Easy Installation
Made in the USA which means you are getting the highest quality every time.
Every Intake is tested to make sure you get the best performance for your money.

I got all excited when I saw this post at first !!! Now I don't want to start and exhaust war again since you guys like to mark your territory on this, but if can buy an brand new sealed genius intake for $150 why would I pay $199 for a non sealed... when I saw the post I was thinking "cool, they are dumping the old intake now" I figured Version 2 would be cheaper then Version 3... guess not.

First of all, there is no Version 3. Version 2 has been too popular to change.

Here are the benefits of our intake compared to all the other intakes out there:

Sealed system: If you look at these "sealed systems" they are surrounding the filter with hot metal. Our system actually has an opening from the bottom which serves to mix in fresh air from the front while fresh air is being brought in from the scoop. After a long ride, you will notice that that area does not get hot like everyone thinks it does. One of the Vendors I used to work with even agreed with me at that time he was selling my intake. If my intake did not work, then my intake temps would consistently be over 120 or more but I guarantee you that they are not. Now these other systems are just basically suffocating the filter, therefore not making the filter breath correctly.

Our system at our price is always polished stainless steel.

I am having some intakes made now. If you would like an intake that is not polished, I can definitely help you out with that.

At what outside ambient temp are you testing these intakes?

It makes a difference between summer Arizona and Minnesota winter. I'm just wondering

"They are surrounding the intake with hot metal"......... appears that your "metal" intake does the same thing. It's a big heat sink, and it's open to hot engine compartment temps. Get real.

Around 70-80 degrees. You have to remember your intake temps can't be cooler than the outside weather. So, if you are in Phoenix with 100+ deg weather, you won't get the cool air advantage but your intake will make your system more efficient by getting air into your system quicker.

If you look the "other" intakes the design is different. Our intake gives the filter an opening at bottom to ensure that the filter is getting enough air. If you have done the many tests as I have you would agree. My intake temps are low and my system is very efficient.
