Super strong solid aluminum bumpers for your Smart

Super strong solid aluminum bumpers for your Smart not the thin tube so called bumpers that would bend if they tap you in a parking lot.

Special pricing for the pair.

I have a pair on my car and they worked just fine when college football players decided to pick the car up for fun. Nice because the bolts go into the frame so no damage to body panels. They had a hard time with the rear end. They thought the engine was in the front.

They are very strong, actually strong enough to lift the car.

You have to protect those panels.

Mounting Question

I have a question about mounting the front bumper, Ernie...

Since there's only one tow-point cover in the front, does one wind up drilling a hole through the... Err... Left side (I think) of the front panel to access the left mounting point? And assuming that's the case, does BPP include some sort of template with the front bumper kit instructions?

TIA...

You can get the right size hole saw from Home Depot for less than $10 if you want a nice clean hole. I bought a set of 5 different sizes since it was only a few dollars more than the single saw. The hole lined up perfectly using Ernie's template.

I would love to get these, but need more space in the garage first.
Currently I have about 3 inches of clearance when I park the smarts back to back. Definitely something I look forward to purchasing.. gotta get the trailer hitch on first though.

Rear Bumper Installed (Finally)

I put the rear bumper on the Cabrio this morning, and I'm very pleased with the look and quality of the bar itself. The powder-coating was flawless on the bars, but there were a couple of weak spots in the bolt holes that were quickly remedied with a shot of gloss Krylon - I know that's a difficult place to get the finish coat into. I wasn't going to worry about it, given how long I've been waiting to put the car together and how fast Ernie's people got the bumpers to me.

Photos are in my gallery. If it stops raining before I go off vacation, I'll take my Dremel to the left-front cover and cut the hole for mounting the front bumper.

Cheers, BPP!

Any idea if the 450 also has twin front mounting points?
