Now... the summer is packed full of weekends, so if you want to plan an event closer to KS go for it! And if your weekend backs up the the Dells event let me know - Since I'm driving ~2000 miles might a well see as many smarties as possible!
Suze, I live in the Kansas City area!!! Not a small farm in the middle of Kansas. Your not even in the Midwest area!!! I just ask a simple question. St. Louis MO., is a beautiful, historic, great city to meet in. Lots to do there Smart cars under the Land Mark Arch. Des Moines, Iowa has the National Hotrod show from around the county every 4th of July. Nice little city. I've been to several Jeep Jamboree, that last a week, around the county. I could justify, driving that distance. I would love to go to this Smart event!!!!! Its just too far for a couple days. I only just made a suggestion!

You will never satisfy everyone. Either the date is wrong, location, length of event , etc. I have seen many events never materialize when you try to keep everyone happy. THe best you can do is pick a date, pick a place, and set up some activities. If they like it, they will come. If it is too far, too short, or the wrong time of the year, they won't.

I think you have a great start. I'm planning on attending unless something happens, you never know. I applaude you efforts and keep it up!! Since you picked a tourist type area, they should not have much trouble with handling a large group for meals or ???

Sorry if I could not appeal everyone, I wanted to get a place where people may not have been. It is a scenic and fun place to go to. There are tons of activities for people to do (some being expensive and some being cheap) I provided a Schedule of events, as well as the president of SIN gave a link for hotels.

I am expecting people to stay in several different hotels as well. My next goal is to set up Convoy's so people can travel together. Its still early, but it gives a good amount of time.

I like this idea! (And great pic!)

Found many websites to help with this adventure - like this one - Roadside America - Guide to Uniquely Odd Tourist Attractions

If this becomes popular,we might get SMART to give us a gallery category - smarts with roadside attractions?

That'd be great. I'm thinking of leaving a note on the windshield of the other smart owner here in the neighborhood to come join the forum. Maybe he can attend this too or a local meetup in the area.
