No, its 40 miles. I think you were looking at the wrong total. Its a 37 mile route plus a 3 mile drive in the Arboretum.

Then there is that short little jaunt up from Red Wing, 53 miles just to get to Bloomington..... Still worth it just to hang out with you guys!!

True, some people will be driving well more than that. I'm driving 179 miles to attend this. People from Canada are driving even further.
