I am prediction Snow for northern Minnesota, not for the Metro.

It will be chilly, but possibly sunny this weekend, so good for fall colors!

I was planning on attending and bringing some Smart Madness trinkets, plus doing some installs of MDC cruise controls at a special rate. Jeff was very kind to call and give me some details, but I was driving in a downpour in construction on the way to a funeral. Bottom line ... too much on my plate and too soon.

However, we will be set up well over the winter for Spring events. I bought the wrecked smart Passion coupe at Bloomington with Jason's help, and it will be serving as a design mule to help my crew of talented designers and engineers come up with new "smart" solutions.

Got a thread going on that, and would like your ideas and suggestions.

I might just be able to make it.

Turns out two things I had my eye on are happening in the area at roughly the same time. Friday I plan on going to Rochester for the afternoon to mingle with kiters and watch the master fliers compete (weather permitting) and then head on up to meet with the drive.
Any suggestions of where to stay? Either in Rochester or on up to Bloomington so I can be there in the morning. Thanks

I'd stay in Bloomington. I know Larry is staying at the Super 8.

If you can let me know ASAP if you are coming, I need to give a final number on the reservation at the Golden Nugget.

Also FYI, the Canadian group is having 6 smarts coming!

Technically this is the first US/Canada Rally isn't it?

American Kiteflyers associate Conevention is this week in Rochester.

I'm not officaly atending the convention, but Figure its hard to keep people from stopping by an outside events at Faud Mansour Sport Complex Soccer Fields. Friday is the Masters sport kite compitition so I figure it will be worth a visit, and I have a lot of old friends who will be there.

We look to have around 27 cars or over 50 people at this event. I need to close the event as we won't have any space to have lunch with any more people. Thanks for you interest in the event. If you still want to come you can, but you may need to wait for a table.
