I haven't used snow tires yet. Made it through last winter without them, only had trouble one or two days.

Just got home (finally!!) after the rally and fixing the truck. What an excellent time!!! It was a pleasure to meet our neighbors to the North and check out their amazing rides. Thw Auoritum was an amazing drive with some choice scenery, as was the drive around the Lake Minnetonka area. The food at Golden Nugget was superb. Even with the wintery beginnings, it was a great day!

P.S. The truck problem ended up being a disconnected PCV hose. 2 min. to fix it.

Sounds like Jeff has a great turnout. I was going to attend and install some MDC cruise controls if the demand allowed, but a family funeral up north interfered, and I ran out of time.

I will make an appearance in the spring. Did an 11 hour trip up I-35 last week in a downpour and sure could have used a cruise control myself. The colors were just starting to change then, and should be spectacular this weekend. Enjoy

Will get the little bent beastie I bought in Bloomington on the road eventually. In the interim it will serve as a test bed for developing some trim and other bits that will make the smart a more useful car. Let me know your thoughts. I'll free up Jeff's parking place when Daimler gets the replacement key bits shipped in.

I've been in the business of developing bits and solutions for race cars and odd balls like Daimler (of England!) sports cars and Minis since the 60s, and have great sources from aerospace wizards to the art world to call upon. Look at my initial list of ideas, and let me know what you are looking for. Obviously, we're looking at things that others don't offer (or ones that could be done better or cheaper)

I saw you guys today! Unfortunately I was not in my fortwo. I was in my daughter's 96 Taurus. I was at the intersection of Excelsior and Cty Rd. 4 (Eden Prairie/Minnetonka).

What a great time. Thanks to all! The canadian group was delightful, and seeing their cars in person was priceless!
Thanks again to the guy who gave us the seat belt covers, wanted to get your name, but you got away. Hope to repay the favor sometime.
To anyone who hasn't been to one of these rallys- you don't know what you are missing!!

Thanks Jeff for putting together another great event.

I now know I should get a GPS before the next one. I'm Never sure who I should be following and if we are really going in the right direction, but eventually we all got to our destinations, and I even made it home.

Thanks to the Canadians for letting us make their trip into an event, Thanks for the Canadian smarties as well.

And also thank for the kit to make my window mod, that is well appreciated. Ill be putting that in when the temps get back above 40f.
