Just watched the Travel Channel's "America's Favorite Water Parks" and they featured two parks from The Dells - The huge indoor place - Kalahari (?) and Noah's Ark, the largest water park. These shows always save the best for last right? Well The Dells segment was dead last.

So, I guess it's Black Anaconda and Point of No Return for me.

I decided the drive shouldn't involve interstate travel. Most of you would have seen enough of that on one drive in.

I usually have FRS radios around It is nice to check in with while driving in a group. I believe the lower chanels on FRS are the same as the GMRS radios

IMPORTANT INFO!!!:

Those going on I-94 towards the Dells from Indiana or Chicago should beware. For a long stretch there's nothing but a bumpy, overcrowned 2 lane highway road that would last until about Six Flags: Great America. Stay in the right lane in the 2 lane areas as the overcrowning of the road leaves you at a very bad and uncomfortable angle in the left lane. Tolls are $1 all the way from Chicago to the Dells. Noon is not a good time to be on the inbound Wisconsin lanes on I-290, I-294, and I-94 as traffic is usually heavy and features state police. Once past Gurnee, IL the construction just seems to die away.

Those on I-94 can visit Gurnee Mills Mall, Six Flags, The Seven Mile Fair (where I got Jamie the Parrot), and even the Harley Davidson Museum along the way. You'll also pass Madison, WI. which is my birthplace! Be sure to stock up on some illegal fireworks before heading back to IL.

How do you know you're getting there? Oh there will be nice billboards and road signs that'll lead the way. The more you see the closer you're getting.
