Average time between reservation and delivery

Hola all!

I am trying to get a sense of how long, on average, folks have waited for the delivery of their car in the Chicagoland area. Here are my details:

Reservation #: 1351
Location: Lincolnwood
Reserved: Sept. 13, 2007
Configured: Aug. 26, 2008
DDE as of mid-November: December-February (no specific days)

The DDE hasn't worked since mid-November, and when I contacted the 800 number and Loeber Motors a couple weeks back they said my reservation is still there, but they don't have any further details.

I'm assuming the hold up is because of the 08-09 model switch, but I'm starting to get a bit antsy.

Hmmm, did you get it at Loeber Motors? After reading through the posts I'm finding there are several people who reserved after me that have taken delivery. I gotta admit it I'm getting mildly frustrated.

I think they were on the orphan list. I got contacted couple time times too, but they did't have the color and options i wanted at that times.

Definitely makes sense. Just called Loeber Motors again and talked to Mike. He said the way things are running I should expect mine closer to mid-2009 - quite a difference from December 08!

He took my name down for an orphan and hopefully something comes up. While I want a Smart I'm not ready to pay close to $20K for all the bells and whistles.
