Blizzard Warning in effect

Oh yeah. you know what that means, more cold, more snow, and a possible SNOW DAY!

So how is everyone holding up in Chicagoland with the snow around?

Well, I am in Iowa where we actually canceled our blizzard warning because earlier today we got up to 34*F and now dropped to 17 degrees. That warming created a crust and prevented the blizzard.

Snow performance has been good though.

Sounds odd, IL. wasn't supposed to get a "blizzard" but I'm guessing that we're getting what's meant for Iowa.

The ticker tape says that the Warning will last until 6 am, just enough time to cause enough damage to stop school from opening.

The last time Grant High School has had an official snow day was 28 yrs ago.

A note from my Freshman year Honors English class: (no offense to Iowa, he just doesn't like the Hawkeyes)

Not exactly a blizzard down here, but we're feeling the bite from the front coming through.
