Car wraps in Chicago

came across this today in Chicago Tribune ...

will post in the Mid-West forum as well, I'm sure they would have some interest in those with smart cars in metro-Chicago:

again, this is just passing the info, don't know anything other than seeing the ad in today's Chicago Tribune Business section!

Looked at their address, appear to very close to the Lincolnwood smart center

wife talked about ...

as this will be her car, she works at a high school (head baker; it's a BIG high school) so we'd have to check to make sure it wasn't against any school policy (kids can't wear anything for instance with booze or cig's shown!) but I'm not so sure. A lot of folks talked about getting wraps to offset the cost of ownership.

We have a local real estate agent who wrapped her MINI that's where she got the idea that she might want to do it as well.

We'll see (as Dad always said!)

Car Wraps

I know a few people in the car wrap business. Most pressure sensitive adhesive media (3M controltac for example) used for printing temporary transit wraps will will bond with the new smart plastic panels permanently.

There seems to be quite a few of these wrap businesses on the net. How do you know which is legit and which is not.

if we go this route we'll ask about the 'permanent' bond question and see if this place just has a PO Box or a permanent location that puts these on, etc.

Any News?

So, this last post was from Feb. and I am wondering if anything has come of it. I want the Spanish flag covering my car and don't have a clue where to even start here in Chicago.

I saw a van parked on Elston north of Irving this week and it had a sign on it saying "Chicago Car Wraps." Didn't see a URL for a web site, though.
