Chicago Parking Ticket - 2 cars in metered spot

Has anyone received a ticket for sharing a parking spot with another car? I got one on Friday, and plan to appeal it. I was within the lines of the single metered spot, and time hadn't expired. I don't see any law this violates, but if anyone has experience or advice with this problem I would appreciate any help!

Avoid the anguish, always park with the nose at the front of the space even with the meter.

You know how much Daley relies on the revenue generated from parking tickets!

Many have mentioned on other post about two cars in one space. Usualy the rules state it is ok but if the meter runs out both get a ticket.
But Chicago is known for writing there own rules.

And I didn't see any thing under the "revenue" Section of the codes
