How's Spring?

It's about time we had some nice weather out, the snow is gone, the lakes are melting, it's 60+ F outside...

But it's BEFORE Valentine's Day!!

Well, just open the windows, hop on a motorcycle, or send the kids outside because this is some weird weather we're having and Summer might not give us any mercy when it comes...

I'm living in the wrong part of the country, for a person who hates dripping with sweat. Summer will be upon us all too soon here. A matter of weeks.

snowing in the pacific northwest today, but not cold enough to stick, except above 500 ft.

I'm ready for warmer, drier, sunnier weather.

Suze, in your neck of the woods, 80° is a balmy Summer day. 85 is downright shocking!

Speak for yourself, Suze! :>) 33 degrees, been snowing like crazy here in Olympia ALL DAY, and I've got about 3-4 inches on the ground already. Had to go out earlier, and the roads are a mess! :>( Hopefully it'll warm up tomorrow and melt away everything! :>)

It's odd that the ones that live in warmer areas are usually the 1st ones to reply

He he he, we're supposed to get thunderstorms with the possible threat of even more flooding. But no more weather under 40 F for now.

As for snow, I hope that Northern IL will never see snow again until next Winter season...

The last time Chicago had weather this warm in the middle of Feb. was back in the 1800's!

Neon: In this part of the country this is my absolute favorite quarter of the year. And, it is close to an end, oppressive heat will soon descend upon me. You folks have a tough time in the winter ... worse than anywhere I've lived since I was very young and didn't have to worry about trivial matters like transportation. That includes my residence in the mountains of Colorado.

My coldest personal experience was -12°F. I wouldn't know about -35, that's like another planet from my perspective ... incredible! But, in normal Winter conditions I always found layers of clothes served the purpose. When it is HOT ... it's just HOT. You can't run around naked ... hell, even if you could you'd still be dripping sweat. I hate Summer. Especially since it lasts three quarters of the year here.
