CABUTT, It's always good to see and meet new smarties. You have tricked out your ride, very nice! I think max was pretty bored until the neighbors dog showed up. I seen a previous post where there is a car show in Springfield on the 12th but if you guys end up going to the rte 66 blowout ya probably wouldn't want to double duty.That's cool as I'm not sure exactly where I'll be with my wheel project! Gotta run, TTYL

Made a big diff in the ride. I was surprised as to how little effort it took to break loose the lug bolts. My drain plug was in tighter!

I was going to do the 'switch' at work but decided to just do it in the driveway at home. I think it took me all of 5 minutes to swap out both of them. Most of the time was laying on the ground looking for the 'jacking points' and making sure I hit them. Piece of cake!

I met JVC777 at the State Fairgrounds tonight. Nice white/black smart.

It appears Sept 12 at Mejier is the IL Sec of State Antique car show.

John said he was going to see if maybe we could sqeeze some smarts into the show.

Maybe we could fit in the sports car section. It looks like there is a diplay only $5 section.

It looks like John, Walter, and I are going to meet at the Steak and Shake by the Springfield Meijer around 8am next Saturday Sept 12 and then go into the car show. If anyone else is free and would like to join us they would certainly be welcome. I believe the Display Only catagory in the show is only $5.

John, Robb, Walter and I had our smarts on display at the show. They have a sports car catagory for newer cars but we were just display only. Several other smart owners came by to visit. Barney O came by and we were able to see his custom paint job in person. The pictures look good but it was really nice to see it there.
