Definatly would be interested in popping up. THeir are not a lot of ways for the folks in Mad city ti learn about these cars since the dealer is in MKE.
It would give me a reason to get the car all cleaned up in the middle of the winter. Kind of like needing company at your house once in a while to force you to clean it up.
Eric,
We would like to attend the Jan 10 meeting in Madison, we live in Waunakee. We have a 2008 Smart passion cabrio convertible, silver and black. She just loves to show off. An inside parking spot would help. Let us know where and we'll be there.
ForestAcademny, giantkiller, and gleiser,
Thanks for responding! Our club is really looking forward to you all being there. And if additional folks still wish to join us, that'd be just fine. The more the merrier.
We have people in the group who are considering smart cars as another addition to their stable, so it will be nice for them to see some in person.
As I mentioned in the first post, we will meet in Madison from 10:00-noon.
The place we are meeting is at a local Toyota dealer with the name .... Smart Motors. It is at 5901 Odana Rd. This is a dealer that was started 100 years ago and is currently owned by J. R. Smart. Ironically, they do not sell smart cars.
We will for sure have some reserved parking outside for everyone. (I'm still working on getting one indoor spot so one of you can tell/show us all about your smart.) The meeting will be in the upper conference room and will have the cookies and coffee waiting.
I'll post an agenda as we get closer to the meeting date.
On a related note...we have other events throughout the year that we'd love to have you join us as well. some examples:
- a group outing to a Milwaukee Brewers game (tickets plus a free hot dog and soda are usually ~$15.)
- a national "green car expo" in Madison in the summer (people come from all over the country)
- hybrid and green car cruise nights in Middleton,WI once a month in the summer
- occasional cruises out to Madison area points of interest (ie historic Mazomanie, Wollersheim Winery in Sauk City, etc)

Thanks for including us into your meeting at Smart motors.
In case you didn't know, We can fit 2 Smart cars in one indoor Spot.
Two for the space of One.
Or more depending on what you are compairing it to

Hi Eric,
Count us in for the Jan. 10 meet. I just put AntBee away for the winter, but she could use a breather in January!
Cool, looks like your getting a large group together for your meet. Don't forget to mention the Summer Rally in your state in June so people can attend.
