When starting DFW Smart Club, it was decided that we should have a centralized location for our members. At the time, our active members were from The Plano/Lewisville area and North Central Dallas area. We had a member come all the way from Grand Prairie at the Jan meeting and one from Keller. It was brought up that it was not fair to members like that to come to North Dallas/Addison. While I agree that it is far, we are also a fledgling club who it would be detrimental to if we moved again. The advice I was given was to stay in a location and let it grow.
I know it will eventually move locations, and to be fair, it probably should be no further north or south of Grapevine or Irving (DFW airport centralized) and with the Fort Worth Dealership opening this month, we must think of those potential members. It was also brought up that we should ask for DFW Smart Parking at the Flying Saucer. That being said, I do not want to ask the General Manager to do so with the promise of more customers at that odd time of day (it is slow at 4:30, and does not pick up till 9pm) and then pick up and move to Irving.
So please vote on whether we should move soon or not. Soon being within the next year.
If we get a substantial vote, it will be discussed again at the meeting in February.
