Anything smaller? (forming clubs)

Is there anything smaller than a chapter of SCOA? It looks like Heart of Va Chapter covers the whole state, can a sub-chapter be formed ? It seems like there's enough drivers in the Hampton Roads area to do something like that, we could still do chapter events but a sub-chapter might be able to set up local events with chappter members welcome.

I took this from a thread posting. I hope it helps. I am going to try to start one here in Richmond, VA with a possible name of "Heart of Virginia" Chapter. I am thankful for the SCOA and it's support. I paid my $15.00 and became a member. It does pay off. If you are a member, I am sure you too will be supported.

The above thread helped "us" start the "Heart of Virginia" Chapter. I would have thought those "almost yankees" from the NOVA area and those folks from the Beach would have already had theirs up and running. "Suze" was a big help. Any questions, as her. A major resource.

I guess since there's no reply from any smart drivers in Hampton Roads there's not enough interest.

You need to become a member of "SCOA Club" to start a chapter. $15.00 annual dues. Click on the "SCOA Club" in the upper left, under "Site Navagation". As listed on the Virginia map, there are enough owners in your area to justify having a Chapter. Invite all map posted owners in your area into your proposed club, see what name the majority prefers and they will respond. Take that Chapter name and submit the request. Remember, ("All cannot make all". "Even you".)
