Richmond Monthly Meet

Hi All,
April's Chesterfield car show was the last time a major showing of 11 Smartie's got together. Some from the Richmond area, the north "DC area" and the east "VA Beach direction". There are now 11 posted owners with more in the area not listed on the map.
If you monitor this forum, you have noticed the next posted event is a car show on the Sunday, 20 September with a 9:00am starting time. This is also a tax deductable $35.00 event for Richmond's Sergeant Santa program. Spending money for fun these days will turn most anyone off.
Instead of attending someone else's event, how about we pick 5 locations, 1 north (VA Center Commons), 1 south (Chester), 1 east (Laburnum & I-64), 1 west (Short Pump) and 1 in the center of Richmond.
Once a month we meet at a location and discuss problems ~ solutions or upgrades. Or, just a reason to get our Smarts out of the house for breakfast, brunch or dinner. Once defined, you decide which is best for you. Make a post and we might join you.
The first post will be the next meet. Please make it 2 weeks or more in advance for planning. What ever date and time you suggest, it's a go. "All cannot make all."

Thanks, but on the other hand, it would also be a thought for you folks at the Beach or Williamsburg to come up with something similar and I would be interested in attending.
All areas has something unique for a show and tell or a pic moment. A resturant is one thing, it's surroundings is something else.

Our first Richmond Area Monthly Meeting is to be held at Pizza Fusion, 11331 West Broad Street, Suite 131, 7pm ~ whenever, Friday night, 11 September. This is on the west side of Richmond in the Short Pump area. Come hungary.
If you are an owner, future owner of a smart, or just want to have a pizza, you are welcome. This will be "hob-nob-bin" at it's best.

3 smarts made it to Pizza Fusion last Friday. It was interesting to know that they have a smart car on the front of their carry out menu. They were very thankful to have smarts stopping by for a slice or 3. If after hitting the other 4 spots around Richmond, and then returning to this spot in the west end, one could park on the side walk just because it is possible. Karen, thanks for the invite.

GardenFest of Lights 2009
The Botanical Gardens GardenFest of Lights.
Meeting at the River City Diner @ Parham & I-95, and then doing a cruze in would be a local way to show support for these annual Christmas events and having fun doing it.
Let's start with the 27th of November, have dinner if you want at the Diner, leave from the Diner at 5:45 pm to the Gardens, enjoy the lights, and leave. All is welcomed.
Just make a post that you are interested so that others may join in and the coordination begins.

Anyone interested in a get together this month? The Southern area is recommended for the next meet & eat. Sunday afternoon preferred in the Chesterfield County area. All is always welcomed. Especially those smart car owners.
Sound off and we will take our smartie out for a meal.

February's greet & eat is to be held at Bill's Barbecue, at the Diamond (3100 N. Boulevard). The date is Sunday, the 14th, 1 ~ 3 pm.
Parking is plentiful, the food is great, discussions on the smart car a must, show & tells, easy access to the interstate, central location and a look at the Braves Indian before it leaves.
Please sound off to get an idea of smart cars attending this event.
