50+ MPG at 70 MPH...

When I first got my car, I was getting 35 MPG. Then I put on Lorinsor wheels and my mileage dropped to 32 MPG. Then I put on a turbocharger and my mileage dropped to 29 MPG.

Then I put on methanol injection from Snow Performance: Stage 2 Boost Cooler? and my mileage jumped to over 50 MPG at 70 MPH.

Here is a video showing the results:

I can take my foot off the gas pedal and make is say 9999 miles to the gallon

No real measure using the scan gauge in a "moment out of time"

My truck got 99.9 mpg at 70 mph ... downhill for 30 seconds...

This sounds interesting, but to demonstrate the repeatability, we'd need to see a few tanks run through to get a decent average. That's what I'm doing with my changes and comparing to the same time period in a previous year to verify improvements: Fuel economy tricks (0W-30, Iridium plugs, silicone hose, AFE filter) - Smart Car of America Forums

Even if it does work based on actually checking the average over several tanks of gas it does NOT seem to work on a non-turbo car. What about the rest of us that are not real happy with the gas mileage of our smarts? Will someone please come up with a way to improve the gas mileage for the rest of us. THAT would be some thing almost every smart owner would purchase.
I put 70 series tires on the back of my car to drop the rpm's and the whole car went nuts electronically and would not even drive. Can someone please either give us taller gears or overide the electronic for us to let us put larger diameter tires on the back?

Drive slower and in the highest gear possible without unnecessarily loading the engine.

All you need is a similar diameter tire for the front and this setup will work. They can only be out 2 or 3 % front to back.

The methanol is really a 50/50 mix with distilled water. I have it set to spray .1 gallons for every gallon of gas.
