I filled up yesterday and got 38.4MPG and it cost me $26 to fill the tank. I am now up to 1400 miles on the car. What is strange is that it seems I did more highway miles than when I got 43.5MPG... I wonder if cruise control would help that?

Just filled the first tank, assuming the dealer had it topped off on delivery I got 259 miles on 5.9 gallons.. 95% Freeway. 43.8mpg!!!

Second Tank isn't looking as good but I've been driving it harder...

First tank yesterday - 7.4 gallons for 274 miles - 37 mpg. Never use automatic mode and zero freeway miles.

after 1700 miles ...
this last tank had the best average, 263.5 miles on 5.8 gallons = 45.3 mpg.
Gidget rocks!
Even if I topped off another 1/2 gallon over where it stopped, it would still be almost 42 mpg. Not too bad at all ...
Mixed driving, mixed mode but mainly in manual. I keep the freeway speed down between 60 and 65.

My first tank was 34 mpg. I dont know if the dealer had really filled it all the way. Also, I was driving in extreme winds with rain, icy rain, snow and ice covered roads. Mostly highway and some town driving. It was all in manual. I have switched to automatic for this second tank, I am sure it will do better if the weather holds up and after the engine is broken in.

Here's my first 1000 miles mileage report...

1020 Miles 26.97 Gallons 37.82 MPG

All with premium 92. All Costco except one Exxon fill. All city driving, with short freeway hops of under an hour each.

fortwo coupe, hardly ran A/C at all. One driver mostly, cargo seldom. PS, leather package. Paddle shifting most of the time. Filled up four times for 1000+ miles!

MPG

Took delivery Monday at smartAlex with 9 miles on it, drove about 200 miles home on I95 and US17 to VaBeach, one 50 mile round trip to work and a few drives around the neighborhood this week. Trip odometer at 255 miles.

Filled up this morning with 6.1 gallons for initial gas mileage of 41.8 mpg.

36.4

First full tank since getting home last week. Same pump used for both fills. 36.4 mpg in all city driving. Some paddle shifting to get into traffic but mostly auto mode.
