30.9 MPG

Picked up my smart and drove about 50 miles down the interstate. put on another 100 miles in town. Got 30.9 MPG on the first fill up. I also don't know how the first fill up was done or whether it was "filled" all the way up!

Hope more driving will prove better MPG....

36.36 on my first tank. This was 20% city - 80% highway.
I took it on a 245 mile trip today, ran great. 85mph was the fastest
I went, but cruised around 70-80 most of the trip. It is no Lincoln, but very roomy and people love it!

37.5 first tank

I got 37.5 on my first tank. That was around town driving, on the beltway and surface roads. No trip longer than 15 miles and some as short as 1 mile.

I got 38 MPG on my first tank (3/4 tank really). That was mostly two lane highway with some in town and interstate.

Picked it up Saturday night at 7pm, filled it Sunday afternoon about 3pm. It had 15 miles when I got in it and read 265.4 when I filled it. It took $20.01 of premimum at WalMart and that was 6.761 for a calculated 39.254 mpg. But who know if it was filled up or clicked off when I got it and I filled it until it ran out. No interstate driving, but lots of starts, lots of hills, probably 25% city in 50 degree weather. So far so good.

Just a FYI for the Geo Metro part of the thread - In May I was in an accident going 45 mph in my 1999 Geo Metro. I figured it was a death trap too. I was very pleasantly surprised how it hung in. Yes it's totaled but it wouldn't take much for that old of a car. All the injuries I suffered was airbag injuries.
