question about the ignition timing (IGN) on scanguage....what determines that # is ait temp and octane sometimes i can get it as high as 33....i use premium 93 octane and air temp around 80....im guessing at this would a lower # mean a richer mixture?

scangauge price

I checked out my local Auto Zone and found out I can get a scan gauge II for $149.99. They have to order it in, I had to explain to the counter person what it is. It's listed as SG 2. Here's one for the vendors, who's going to be the first to carry a pod to mount a scangauge in? Or is there such an accessory out there and I just haven't found it yet?

I have mile installed just to the left of the steering wheel below the dash. It makes it easy to snake the OBD connector as well. I think it works perfect as you don't have to keep removing and you can easily glance to see how you are doing as it is right next to the rest of your displays.

I would post a pic, but not sure how to do that. Does anyone know if there is a simple way to insert a pic?

In the posting box (where I am now typing this), you will see a series of icons, starting with a "double capital A" on the left side. The second icon from the right in the series (which is yellow-ish on my Macintosh Mac Book and has a very small picture of a couple of mountains and the sun in it) is the "picture posting" button.

In order to use it, you have to first ensure that the image that you wish to post is itself available on line. To do this, first upload your picture to a service like Imageshack, then get the online address of your photo, hit the "picture posting" button, paste in the address for your image, and there you go.

I have had a scangage for about 6000 miles, it tells me lots of good stuff, but when it comes to real MPG, I use the old fashion math method, with just short of 9000 miles on my 09, I consistently get 40 MPG mixed driving and the last long stint was 212 miles, I got 43.3. I just zero out the trip meter and then the next fill-up I divide the milage by the gallons used. Just be sure to be consistent on when you fill up, either stop when the automatic stops the flow, or do just one more squirt until it stops again. I do wish there was someway to monitor oil pressure without having to install a sending unit and gage.
