Two years of mpg

I just thought you all might like to see this. I log my MPG every time I fill. I missed a couple but I have most of them. My lowest MPG was 29.6 and My Highest was 44.2. I'm averaging 35 miles to the Gallon. The last Field is the MPG, sorry about the formatting. As you can see I usually wait to the last drop to fill up. Also check out the gas prices, from $1.98 to $3.85 all premium. This is a 2008 Smart Fortwo Passion.

Very nice! You should import those into Fuelly. To do so, you can view your car (once you have created one) and click on "view all fuel ups". Near the bottom of the page there is a link that says "import from a .csv". If you keep these fuel ups in Excel or something you can format it according to their CSV guidelines and then save it as a .csv file and upload it to Fuelly. That way you can share these #'s with the world and compare to other cars.

FYI I get similar mileage to you on average, with a commute that includes 1/2 hour driving across San Francisco and 1/2 hour freeway. You can see the format details here: http://www.fuelly.com/csv-format.gas

Fuelly is a great way to keep track of how well ones car is doing.

Long time, no see! How have things been? I've got my fill-ups recorded on Fuelly as well.

By the way, I moved this thread to the Fuel Economy section...

I use spritmonitor.de. Not as colourful as fuelly but lots of European smarts on the site to compare to. Can be used in MPG but most use litres per 100 kilometres.

I only see 14 months.

And, here's another vote for fuelly.

I keep my records in an Excel spreadsheet. A few months back I started keeping track of data from my GPS: Moving time, maximum speed, average speed, etc. Oh, and I've missed a couple tanks too. And, for one tank I wrote down ALL the data EXCEPT price, gallons and cost.

If I lived in a warmer climate I bet I could average 44mpg, but with annual temperature swings over 100 degrees, its hard to keep a constant MPG. In the winter I average 34...in the summer 43.
