When should I go to my dealer and list my name for an 09 model? I reserved 2/4/08 res # 1495 and I know I won't see that car till at least march or april of next year. I figure what the heck maybe I will get lucky.

There is apparently no virtue in waiting; the word is that there will be no difference between a '08 and a '09. The other word is that for 2010 there will either be a re-vamped smart (if the '08/'09 makes it) or no more smarts if the 451 is a bust.

I was kinda going for the 09's just to get some of the bugs worked out.

I think you will find most of the "bugs" are one off issues or just things working differently then certainly individuals would like. Other than the transmission check (which took 15 minutes), I haven't found much of anything that I would call a bug. I doubt there will be much in the way of changes soon.
