Smart said from the beginning that we will receive our cars in the order of reservation. Unfortunately, the party line of the reservation # meaning nothing makes the dealers look and sound like MORONS, personnally I do not spend much time with morons. No personal affront to employee for they are doing as told. Problem arises when you have HUNDREDS of forum members confirming their reservation date and reservation #, and there is a direct correlation between the two, a rational person will make an admission that this is as it is. My suggestion is to convince employees, those who are trying to establish a relationship, so be it a sales relationship, that a honest trusting and open relationship will drive a better and long term customer experience.
However, with that said, we are now seeing a 90+ day deviation in invitations to configure, all dependent on dealer location. smart is trying to keep the "Its not fair that Mr Fairbanks Alaska got his before me in Kansas"...
Oh, I think I have spent to many days selling to PhDs where I can not (and would never dream of pulling the wool over their eyes. sorry for the rant.
