I can't believe they have that many! We haven't had ANY orphans in New Mexico. Does anyone else think this is odd that there are so many at one dealership?

For some dealers, cars that arrive on their lot are automatically uploaded to the Autotrader web site. I'm sure that if you checked with them you'd find they weren't for sale.

They have had those same 17 black smarts for several weeks now, you would think someone would have bought at least one of them.

30-90 days....

Reservation number: 1183
Configuration date: 11/26/07
Dealer: SF Smart Center
Dealer called with VIN #: 3/9/08 with estimated 30-90 days delivery time
Still waiting....

Apparently, the 800-SMARTUSA will have a tracking system installed by the end of March. Right now, they have no idea where the cars are between when they leave the factory and when the truckload of cars show up at the dealer. Isn't that crazy given this day and age when you can track a $5 book from Amazon....

Got my 45 - 60 notice on Feb 27 but the car hasn't moved since then. It's still at the factory waiting to get loaded onto a boat so as far as I can tell I'm still a minimum of 45 - 60 days until delivery. Ugh!

1191 in Austin, reserved 4/6, configured 11/21, got call on 3/24 that my car would be in within 5 weeks, possibly sooner.

Good luck to other 1191's.

1192 in Dallas. I got a call about ten days ago that my car would be here on 3/23. Called yesterday and found out the truck hasn't left Jacksonville yet...the wait continues.

I'm an 1190 in Minneapolis, and I got the email 2 weeks ago today that my car had shipped. No call from the dealer yet. Can't decide if I should buy it or not. I chickened out on the Prius back in 2003 (for the new 2004 model) and I regret it to this day. I just don't think now is the right time for ME to buy a car... I'm so conflicted...
