Jimbo,
At least you'll be getting a Cold Fusion Powered 2009 model distributed by Walmart sold in the stores on isle number 367 next to the Jet Packs.
Seriously, even though you reserved 29 days before me my DDE is still 5 more months out, guessing my config 3-4 months after yours. Whenever that may be, Oct ?

My original DDE was Mar-May 2009, but in the last couple of months it has advanced to Jan-Mar. I hope they have a flux capacitor and a Mr. Fusion on the 2009's, I'm saving up my banana peels and carrot tops...!

HEY "JIMBO"......you have GOT to be the most patient person on this forum. have you been asked to 'configure' yet?
suggestion to all you "1300's" out there that haven't been asked to at least 'configure'.......someone start a post with their resv#, date of reservation and location. the next person "quotes" that person and adds to that their own info, and so on and so on.
when you get about 10 or so people and their info all together, copy and paste it to an email to 'smartusa'. if THAT doesn't work, send the same info to Dave Schembri. his address has been posted elsewhere on this forum.
i believe that if you show them 'in mass' that there is a problem, maybe someone will listen. then again, maybe not. it's just a suggestion.

Jeepster55, I think there may be some merit in what you suggest.
I'm torn: at one level I want my car YESTERDAY. but at another level, I'm not making a car payment and won't likely make one for at least another 6 months, I'm saving that money each month and will eventually finance less and less as each month passes. Conversely, the gas money I'm laying out vs the gas I'll be consuming with the Smart Car will be enough to almost make a car payment. Makes your head hurt. I try not to think about it too much.

My config email came in last night! Configured as soon as I saw it (duh).
Is the end in sight, or just several months of fidgeting?

Called last night. now 13 full months from reservation, still waiting to configure. SmartUsa's customer service is of no help, and has no new information nor any new tools to assist the customer than they had nine months ago.

Jimbo,
I gave that up a while ago, tired of getting the scripted response. Ok, now It's time to see who can be ignored by Smart the longest. 12. 2 for me, anyone else ?
