1352, finally configured today!

Well, I was at work on a conference call today and heard my email "boing". I opened it up to find an email from Dave Schembri, telling me to configure. After I yelped, and then exited the conference call as soon as I could, I confirmed.

White on Silver Passion coupe over Black Leather, all options.

The wait is on

Anyone have any idea how long until I can expect to be able to get my VIN and track this beast?

I'm wondering if different places in the country get configured before others ,I didn't even place an order on-line till 10/24/07 , I got my configuration notice on the last friday of january and my confirmation number was 1392 well past many other people ,I ended up buying an orphan 2 weeks later after visiting the dealership in sarasota

I think a lot of it has to do with te population of the geographical area that have reserved. With 3 dealers in the DC area, I would think/hope that we would have a lot of reservations.

I'm 1363 and still nothing.
I will probably buy an orphan too. No WAY I could wait till 2010 to get a new car and I really would like to have a smart.

I am confused. My confirmation number is 7112311352. Wouldn't this mean my number is 1352. I also registered on 9/14/07. Help!!

I live in Chesapeake, VA..... about 30 minutes from the Va Beach dealership that opened on March 8th. I called this morning to inquire about reservations and was told they were instructed to tell prospective buyers if they reserved today they would have a car in 10-12 months. He had no idea what they were supposed to tell those of us who already reserved. This whole process is just one big bummer.

Funny, there's a 1420 configuration on March 20th and someone higher (1450?) configured yesterday. This is all over the place.
