I just got my invite to configure at 10:25 AM 4/28/08. Hang time from "reservation" is seven months exactly


I finished reserving at 10:30.

Now my DDE says...

patience grasshopper patience.... you heard the rumor "they are using SAP"

thus it will be 65 days before the programmers apply the work around to update the non intuitive non Boolean date estimater.....

I really suspect there to be a key card puncher who only works Saturdays

you DID mean 'configuring', right? surely you didn't reserve ANOTHER car, did ya? ;)

No jeep... he did not reserve ANOTHER car he is finally being invited to configure his ORIGINAL car...his current ride is a red headed step child no body else in San Antonio would be found dead driving so he got it at a significant discount at the orphanage lot

I might keep this one or trade it in. The red has really grown on me. Of course, I'd like it a lot more if smart would cowboy up and fix the damned blister mark but hey, live an learn... Last I heard the matter was still "under investigation". (WARNING: To all smart invistigators , I am WAY over armed so don't go snooping around at night)

I put a new scanguage on it today and got excited all over again. I was getting 42 just being myself but was able to squeeze 56 out of one 22 mile highway run just by turning off the AC and paying attention to the MPG/RPM/GPH/TPS on the gauge. You can get a lot out of adjusting the nut behind the wheel.

I did have some minor palpitations when I screwed the base of the Ram Mount ball into the area under the dash just to the right and above the 12v socket. I used the universal mount so I can put in my Kiaser or Zune if I get bored looking at the Scangauge.

Back on topic... A lot of what I do with my "reservation" smart will depend on smart. We'll see when the time comes.

I explained smart to FIFTEEN people today.
