In playing with the configurator I found the same thing - that the CP and DRLs are mutually exclusive. Noting that smartUSA lists DRLs as an option in the "Safety" group, one would think that smartUSA would consider their absence as a lessening of potential safety.
I would like to see smartUSA identify an appropriate DRL system that bypasses the computer (and M-B), and authorize dealers to stock and install it.
