My reservation number is 1482, and I configured my car on 1 February. This has been a topic of discussion on the “Reservation Time to Configuration Time to Delivery Time” thread:

I'm 1432 but I haven't heard anything yet. When I called in Feb. I was told I would be contacted in a "couple of weeks". Ha! I've resigned myself to not having my Smart until sometime next year. That way if I hear from them this year it will be a huge surprise!

Thanks for the info; encouraging to see a late 1400 configuring already. Maybe we'll be into the 1500s sooner than we think.

Maybe it would help if you switched delivery to a smart center that moves more cars?

I procured an orphan (one week anniversary today!) but Mr SmartyPantz wants me to keep my reservation for now in case he decides to get it for himself, as a second car to his Santa Fe.

Wow.
Went to Loeber in Lincolnwood, IL. last week to test drive one and the cool salesman said do not expect one till October.
Ordered in Nov. with #1407. How is it a higher # gets config'd.

I am not in hurry, but wonder sometimes if EDSEL went through this too.

Reservations are not first come first serve it solely varies from you area that you live in from what I have read on these forums.

I'm a 1405.
No configuration yet.
I'm thinking of cancelling and getting the new VW Jetta Sport Wagon with the CDI engine available in April. Mid 40's city, mid 50's highway. Much bigger car and better mileage.
