I checked the DDE and it changed by one month ahead. It's now Jan 09 - Mar 09 instead of the window starting in Dec.

I was surprised to configure so soon with a delivery date so far in the future.

That's a big jump. I haven't checked for months, so maybe it's been creeping up but I didn't realize it.

Ok, fixing to go to bed, saw I had an email and sure enough, Time to config.

Gonna do it tomorrow.

I kind of wanted a 2009 for the solid roof option (and may very well get a 2009 at this rate) but oh well.

1502 or so was my reserve number.

Got our email this morning to config our car.
Missed the cutoff for the 08's and had to order an 09.
Really wanted the Yellow panels but they are no longer listed as an option.
Settled for white panels with the Black Tridion stripe.
They want $175 extra for the silver tridion.
Black looks better with the white tho.
Our reservation # is 1409.
Smart sent an email that said expected delivery time
is between Nov 08 - Jan 09.
Base price was still the same at $16590.00 for the rag top.
Time to kick back and wait for a ring from our dealer in San Antonio.
Res. # 1409 confirmed!
Guess I need to change our name to W/B Smartie!

congrats on ordering your car. I also wanted the yellow panels,can't understand why they did away with the brightest color available. not sure what color I will order, I have a little time to think it over as Iam a 1507.

the decision to drop "Yellow" was based on 'world-wide' sales of the color, not just what we in the US want. apparently "Yellow" wasn't selling well in the other markets.

also, it was mentioned that the "Silver" Tridion Cell color was $175 option. it's always been a $175.00 option, while "Black" is more or less 'standard'.

and again, be forewarned, the 2009 Model Year prices are NOT CONFIRMED, and i read that they 'anticipate' a 2-3% INCREASE.

still a bargain though.................

#1487 here in Mulvane, Kansas and still waiting for a config email. I ordered mine Jan. 08. Very tough to see people getting there config emails that ordered after Jan.
But I am happy for them. My day will come.... just being patient here in the land of oz.

Thats a pretty close date compared to what it used to be.

When did you order yours? I just got my configuration email on the 26th of this month. I ordered in Feb 2, 08. I was going to go for the solid panels due to I did not want the chipped paint issue, since there are so many morons in the world. Hell, the guy here at work already has a bad ding in his yellow panel. Go figure how a door hits something that small in a space.
