Placed the deposit for our second in June... Got the config email just now. I'm kind of shocked... wasn't expecting it for a couple of months. I feel kind of bad knowing there are others on here who have waited for so long for their first one. We're near Tampa.

You're shocked. I ordered in June as a 1631, configured on 9/5 and i just got my 30 day notice!

Now I have to figure out if I should take the second smart and sell the first. Anyone want a Yellow/Silver Cabrio with about 5000 miles

#1655 (I reserved mid July), and my DDE just moved up for the 4th time. I'm now at 4/09 to 6/09. I think my configure date should come up in the next two months. There is a strong possibility that we might move to Texas in the spring. Looks like I may be coming back to this area to pick up my smart. The Texas wait it just TOO long it looks like.

#1666 no DDE yet at all. people in our area have waited around 18 months for the cars. i am thinking i will be getting a 2010.

#1661, also reserved July 19,2008. We have the same number. I kind of freaked out there... The reservation number is just a time/ date stamp. Still no word on configuring yet. I did pick up a Pure off Ebay so I do have one for commuting to work. Not trying to rub it in, just couldn't wait.
