I feel your pain. Have you contacted Smart. I sent them an email and got a personal response that it will be a few weeks to months before I will config. You really should call Smart or email them, if you haven't already.

Your right about the cold. And I've been in TX in August. It's hot. That weekend was the longest month I ever spent anywhere! (just kidding) In many way's Iowa is heavenly, but it still sucks to be last in line.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did as you described, and go the same response. of course two months ago I also got the same response. Sorry to be so cynical, I just think they throw darts and try to see how far they can get from the bullseye.

I'm here in TX also #1321 8/24/07, no config and a July-Sept- 2009 DDE. My guess is a 2010 model.

I reserved at the end of October 2007 #1394 (even though I bought an orphan in Feb.) No configuration and delivery is set for Aug. - Oct. 2009.... Maybe this will be a 2010. SO FOLKS, THAT IS TWO YEARS FROM RESERVING!!!!!!

I,ve considered a Smart car last year, but didn't get to reserve until 07-28-08, due to having a brand new truck. According to Riverside Smart , where I test drove a Passion Coupe, it is a 14 month waite.
The end of 2009 should be a good time to get another car. Also 14 months is a lot better than the other numbers I see in this blog.
