Just called Smart for piece of mind and they pulled up my info in like 2 seconds. They said the next step for me is to configure and I should receive an email shortly. I asked her what shortly meant, weeks to months? She said yes. Why are they always so vague unless you just flat out ask them. They just need to come out and say it.....MONTHS or possibly NEVER! LOL

You should have asked them to resend your confirmation. I change my email and they resent everything to me, including my confirmation. I'm a 1337 and I configured on the 1st, so its only a matter of time now!

Thanks for the info...look up smarts on autotrader.com . It's irritating all the people who ordered then dropped out.

I should have been more clear, I reserverd Aug 31st ( I think) So you really should be configuring very soon.

I have a 1411 reservation so I have a long wait too. However, I think the dealership can find you in the database if you have your number. This is one of the problems with terminology that is being used on this forum, The day you made your $99 deposit you received an email that stated "Thank you for you smart fortwo reservation. Your confirmation number is 0000001411."

In this usage the confirmation you received just confirms your reservation, you will in the future get an email to configure your smart and then an confirmation of that as well. The confirmation most ofter spoken of in this forum is the second one which you have yet to receive (me too for that matter).

Got this reply to my email from Smart..

Dear smart Enthusiast Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to estimate when each customer will be invited to the Reservation Confirmation Program. Over the next few weeks and months, groups of reservation holders (in order of when reservations were placed in your area) will be contacted by email or by phone to participate in the next step of the reservation process known as the Reservation Confirmation Program. Please be advised, this is not an order, but rather another phase in the reservation program. The purpose of the Reservation Confirmation Program is to help expedite the ordering process and minimize the overall wait time for your smart fortwo. Once your vehicle has been manufactured, your reservation details will be forwarded to your authorized smart USA dealership. You will then be contacted by the dealership regarding your projected delivery date. If you have any other questions or concerns please contact us via email or by phone at 1.800.smartusa. I know that you are probably trying to be nice, but these "I reserved months after you and have confirmed/configured already, so your confirm/configure should happen soon" posts just make me more frustrated with the situation.

It is comforting to know that they are continuing to send out the same answer from their cut-and-paste pool.

At least you got a response. They don't answer my e-mail anymore. I keep trying every couple of weeks.

I am a little concerned now. my confirmation number is 1322. I live in CT, just like PassionforPassionCT, i have not gotten my configuration email yet.
