Can I sell my confirmation spot?

I reserved 9 April and confirmed my reservation on 16 Nov.

Is there a way I can "sell my place in line" if I want to back out?

The rules when you put your money down the rules stipulated that you couldn't act as a dealer, thereby selling your "place in line". You can purchase the car and immediately resell it, either in person or on ebay. You might make a profit of a few thousand dollars this way - the key word being "might", of course. I'm in a similar situation - I really want the car but my son got accepted into an expensive college, so I may back out when my car arrives. I can't afford both. I doubt I'll go through with the purchase and re-sell - likely I will just pass on the car. But I'm still open. Hope this helps.

Thanx, that info does help. I thought that I had probably agreed to something along those lines when I hit "accept".

I am rethinking the Smart due to several things I have read and want to know just what my options are.

Just out of curiosity, what has you making second thoughts? A few people on the forums I am on have said similar things... I'm just wondering if there is a common glue between all of them (premium fuel required, not terribly amazing fuel economy for the size.. etc)

I understand that smart is offering to buy them back for $99.00. I'd hurry though, with all these reports of smart going broke they may be out of money soon.

Hey, Admin... Can we get a pirate smiley?
