Change Dealer

I finally got my configuration email today (reserved in 7/2008). Since the time that I put my $99 down I have moved. When I was going through the configuration it had a button to change my personal info, but it only allowed me to edit my phone number and email address. Everything else was non-editable. It said that I would only have the opportunity to update my dealer once during the configuration, but I was NEVER given the opportunity. Will I need to call Smart to get this fixed?

call smart - its really not that painful; 5 minutes and you'll be all set.

I did it after taking their default suggestion and then finding out there was a dealer 10 miles closer.
I am having my 2.0 Check done at a new dealer that is 22 miles closer than the dealer that delivered my smart. I wonder if need to designate the new dealer as my "home" dealer?

you can't change the dealer, so you are going to have to drive up and get it. That is what they made me do. I called smart and they said I would be able to change it, but when it came in, it was delivered to Ft. Worth instead of Houston (300 mile drive). Yeah that was one thing that kinda made me mad.

I dont think the "home dealer" is going to matter. Just take it wherever is closest. If changes in the system need to be made, i am sure they will make them, but i can't imagine what difference it would make.

You CAN change your dealer

Either delivery or home dealer. Call smart usa - it's the easiest. You don't even need a reason. I changed delivery of mine from Universal City LA to MB Beverly Hills. Took delivery there.

I'll give Smart a call, I'd rather not drive the 2400 mile round trip to go pick it up.
