My second one is a 1470. No confirmation yet. DDE says June-August 2009...

About 2 months ago, we received the confirmation for our 1420 before our 1388. We went to Dallas Smart, and they called headquarters who said that happens some time. However, a month letter we received an e-mail that the confirmation was made in error. Luckily we were able to buy an orphan from Round Rock.

What he most likely got was the confirmation email that they received his $99 deposit.
No way his configuration was so close to reservation. At most it is as someone else mentioned and the dealership getting a feel for what he wants since in another post he mentions the orphan list in San Antonio being 200 strong. And how can he be "offered 2009" when they aren't even in production yet. At most his estimated date might be 2009. But I don't know how long the list in south TX vs. DFW. Though I understand ya'll are lots further along than we are.

Congrats on your confirmation, but I agree with smartieprincess - I am 1370 and have yet to confirm. However, I bought an Orphan and love it but am still waiting to confirm for the original car also. Enjoy your Cabrio - I love mine!
